Dr. Sultan meets with each patient in a comfortable consultation room, where findings are discussed. In certain instances, we may need to contact your physician or dentist to discuss your medical/dental history in greater detail as it relates to your surgery. This meeting allows Dr. Sultan to fully discuss recommended procedures and alternatives involved in your treatment, answer any questions, and review preoperative and postoperative instructions. Before patients complete their initial visit to our Office Based Surgery Facility, we attempt to answer all questions and concerns regarding their care. As a follow up, patients are encouraged to utilize the resources of this website, as it contains many audio-visual aids in patient education.
We believe that the key to the long term success lies in taking the "unknown" out of oral and maxillofacial surgery care through patient education. It is our goal to supply patients with a full understanding of the benefits that proper surgical care provides. We achieve this goal by discussing recommended treatment with each patient, often using advanced imaging techniques, computer simulation graphics, models and diagrams to explain conditions and procedures.
