Dermapen® Advanced Microneedling In Ft. Lauderdale

The Sultan Center for Oral Facial Surgery is proud to be one of the first providers of this exciting technology to the Broward community!!

An innovative skin therapy used to treat a wide range of conditions, the Dermapen Skin Needling system works to tighten, lift and rejuvenate your skin. Dermapen stimulates collagen production, which alleviates fine lines and wrinkles, stretch marks, surgical and acne scars, keloids and large pores.

Similar to chemical peels and fractional laser treatments, Dermapen promotes scarless healing because it stimulates natural collagen production under the skin’s surface. Unlike traditional treatment options though, patients at the Sultan Center for Oral Facial Surgery in Ft Lauderdale, FL who receive Dermapen treatments have little-to-no downtime and experience less pain.

How Does The Dermapen Work?

When the skin is injured, the body’s natural response is to produce collagen and elastin. These natural proteins promote the regrowth of skin. The new skin that emerges will look rejuvenated, smoother and more even.

Dermapen’s spring-loaded needle tip uses an automated, stamp-like motion to enhance results. The depth and size of the device’s 11 microneedles can be easily adjusted giving the esthetician complete control of the areas treated.

Its design also minimizes pain and discomfort during the procedure. However, if you choose, Esthetics by Stephanie at the Sultan Center for Oral Facial Surgery can provide you a sedated procedure to further minimize discomfort.

What Makes Dermapen Unique?

In more traditional skin needling procedures, sloped or curved needles are used. These needles can create trenches in the epidermis which cause more pain, bleeding and longer recovery times.

Dermapen needles are injected at a vertical 90-degree angle, so they reach deeper layers of skin tissue and easily penetrate scar and keloid tissue. The automatic microneedling function increases effectiveness and causes less damage to the epidermal layer of skin than other traditional procedures.

Dermapen’s needles reach the dermis layer of your skin, ensuring that topical solutions used during the treatment are fully absorbed. Solutions such as hyaluronic acid, hydrogenated collagen, vitamin C and platelet-rich plasma help to promote healing, improve elasticity and even your skin tone.

The device’s state-of-the-art design allows the esthetician to cater to individual patient needs. Dermapen can be easily maneuvered around contours and delicate features in hard-to-reach treatment areas such as the eyes, lips and nose.

Dermapen can also be used to treat hair loss, alopecia, pigmentation and melasma.

How Are Results Best Achieved?

Esthetics by Stephanie at the Sultan Center for Oral Facial Surgery recommends combining Dermapen with platelet-rich plasma therapy. The combination of these two treatments will enhance the body’s natural healing ability. Depending on your individual needs, Dermapen treatments can also be combined with adjunctive treatments such as laser resurfacing, chemical peels and microdermabrasion.

Dermapen therapy with recommended use of Platelet Rich Plasma is being exclusively offered at the Sultan Center via Esthetics by Stephanie.

Pre and Post Care skin product packages are available as well as the optional use of sedation.
