Meet Our Anesthesiologists

Scott A. Snyder, MD

Scott A. Snyder, MD is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist who has been practicing in the Ft. Lauderdale area since 1989. Dr. Snyder has served as Chief of Anesthesia at Northridge Medical Center in Ft. Lauderdale until its closing in 2008. Dr. Snyder focuses now on outpatient Anesthesia while still practicing at several of the area hospitals. During his tenure at Northridge Dr. Snyder served on several hospital committees and specialized in the care of high acuity patients.

Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Dr. Snyder moved with his family to South Florida when he was eight years old. He attended Nova High School prior to attending Tulane University for his undergraduate education. Dr. Snyder continued his formal education with post baccalaureate work at Florida Atlantic University and served as a research assistant at University of Miami School of Medicine. Dr. Snyder graduated from St. Georges University School of Medicine and completed his Internship at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Hartford Connecticut. Dr. Snyder completed his residency at Hackensack Medical Center an affiliate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

Both Drs. Snyder and Ursetta work closely with Dr. Sultan and staff at the Sultan Center for Oral and Facial Surgery to provide the full scope of anesthesia services, from local anesthesia to intravenous sedation to inhalational general anesthesia in a fully equipped hospital level outpatient facility. Most patients requiring outpatient procedures are candidates for this service. Dental rehabilitation is also available under anesthesia in this setting.

Terrance Ursetta DO, FAOCA

Terrance Ursetta DO, FAOCA has been a practicing anesthesiologist for 34 years. His undergrad and medical education took place at the Kansas City University of Medicine. From there, Terry went on to complete general surgery and anesthesiology residencies in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

He is a current Fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Anesthesiologists, member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, and has successfully recertified his Diplomat status for the past 30 years. He holds licensure in Florida, Delaware and California.
